we were newlyweds.
Do you remember how we spent the evening after the wedding walking around by the boardwalk, hand-in-hand, looking for a place to get a drink? I remember thinking how surreal it was that we had just done this enormously huge thing and that no one around us had any idea. We got tacos from Las Palmas and ate them in our hotel room.
Tonight, we made tacos ourselves and spent the evening cuddling on the couch with our little baby girl. It was a simple day--no lavish gifts, expensive dinner or champagne, but it was happy. And it was spent with my two favorite people in the world.
I love you. Here's to the next sixty years.
