Hello? Is this thing still on?

As my one lone reader will probably have noticed, I've had a rather a long leave of absence from blogging. Well, "leave of absence" may be the wrong term, as it implies that there was some established blog here to begin with, and there really wasn't.

I originally thought I wanted an anonymous sort of blog where I could talk about personal things, but one of the reasons this didn't turn out was because there was too much of a delicate wire to balance between being able to share who I am and retaining anonymity. This works brilliantly for some bloggers, but not so well for me. One reason it didn't work is because it kept this blog separate from other places online that I frequent, such as Flickr. I want to be able to share pictures here, and be comfortable with people I already know reading this. (Hm, not that that's much of a problem...I don't think anyone has read this.)

Anyway, so I'm sort of starting fresh. I've deleted some old posts that were to personal, and kept some that I'm still not sure I feel comfortable with, but that I'm keeping for now. I think I'm going to turn this more into a blog about my knitting...with things about sewing and cooking and books and life in general thrown in, too. I'm going to really try to keep up with it, too, because I'd like to get to know some of the people on the fabulous blogs I've been reading myself.

So here's to the relaunch of my blog...since no one else is here, I'll guess I'll have to just drink the whole bottle of celebratory champagne on my own. Cheers.
